Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 11, 2026
SyncFox is designed to keep your voice typing and device exchange content local whenever possible. We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not retain your audio, transcripts, files, messages, dictionary terms, speech commands, or selected text on SyncFox servers.
Who We Are
SyncFox is provided by Dobefy OÜ, an Estonian company. In this policy, "SyncFox", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Dobefy OÜ and the SyncFox app, website, and related services.
You can contact us about privacy at support@syncfox.app.
What SyncFox Does
SyncFox provides voice typing, transcription, selected-text rewriting, account access, billing status, and encrypted device-to-device exchange features for Windows and Android. Some features work locally on your device, and some features need a temporary connection to SyncFox servers or third-party speech and AI providers to return a result.
Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address, authentication method, account identifiers, confirmation status, and encrypted password hash if you create an email/password account.
- Google sign-in information: if you use Google OAuth, we request the
openid, email, andprofilescopes. We use your Google account ID and email address only to create or sign in to your SyncFox account. We do not access Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or other Google content. - Billing information: plan, credit, renewal, and payment status information needed to provide paid features and support refunds. If payments are processed by a payment provider, that provider processes payment details under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Voice and text content: audio, transcripts, selected text, dictionary terms, and speech commands may be processed transiently when needed to provide transcription, cleanup, or rewrite features. SyncFox does not retain this content on our servers after the request is completed.
- Device exchange content: messages and files exchanged between your devices are stored locally on your devices. Private mode content is encrypted at rest and in transit. Relay traffic, when needed, is used to deliver encrypted device messages and files and is not retained by SyncFox servers.
- Technical and security data: IP address, timestamps, app version, device type, authentication events, error information, and similar operational data may be processed to keep the service reliable and secure.
