Terms of Service

1. About SyncFox

SyncFox provides Windows and Android software, account services, voice typing, transcription, selected-text rewriting, and encrypted device-to-device exchange features. SyncFox is provided by Dobefy OÜ, an Estonian company.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use SyncFox. If you use SyncFox on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

3. Accounts and Security

You may need an account to use paid or cloud-connected features. You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account unless the activity is caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.

Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your Content

You keep ownership of your audio, transcripts, selected text, files, messages, dictionary terms, speech commands, and other content you create or process with SyncFox.

You grant SyncFox a limited permission to process your content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and support the features you choose to use. SyncFox does not use your content to train AI models and does not retain your voice typing or device exchange content on SyncFox servers after processing is complete.

You are responsible for your content and for making sure you have any permissions required to record, transcribe, share, or process it.

5. Voice, AI, and Third-Party Services

SyncFox may use third-party speech-to-text, AI, authentication, hosting, email, payment, and delivery providers to operate the service. Some voice or text requests may be sent transiently to those providers so they can return a transcription, cleanup, rewrite, or related result.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them, sending them, publishing them, or using them in important decisions.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information. By using SyncFox, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.

7. Paid Services and Refunds

Some SyncFox features may require a paid plan, credits, subscription, or one-time purchase. Prices, renewal terms, and included usage are shown at purchase or inside the app.

We offer a 30-day refund period from the date of purchase. After 30 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase. If you cancel a subscription, you can continue using paid access until the end of the paid billing period unless otherwise stated.

You are responsible for applicable taxes. We may change pricing or plan features, but changes to recurring prices will apply only after reasonable notice and your opportunity to cancel.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SyncFox to:

• break the law or violate another person's rights;
• record or transcribe someone without any consent required by applicable law;
• upload, create, or share abusive, exploitative, hateful, illegal, or infringing content;
• attempt to bypass account limits, payment requirements, security controls, or access restrictions;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code except where allowed by law;
• interfere with SyncFox systems, networks, users, or third-party providers;
• use SyncFox outputs or features to develop, train, or improve competing AI or speech models without our written permission;
• misrepresent AI outputs as reviewed, verified, or guaranteed by SyncFox.

9. Software License

Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use SyncFox software for its intended purpose. SyncFox software may include open source components that are governed by their own licenses.

10. SyncFox Intellectual Property

SyncFox, its software, design, branding, logos, and related materials are owned by Dobefy OÜ or our licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of SyncFox or permission to use our brand except as needed to identify the service.

If you send us feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation.

11. Changes, Beta Features, and Availability

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, including beta or preview features. Beta features may be less reliable and may change quickly. We try to keep SyncFox available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using SyncFox at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, abused the service, or failed to pay amounts due.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will continue, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limits of liability, and governing law.

13. Disclaimers

SyncFox is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that SyncFox will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dobefy OÜ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising from SyncFox or these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to SyncFox or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to SyncFox during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as SyncFox changes. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the website, app, or email where appropriate. Continuing to use SyncFox after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
